Subject Company is a hope

 

The most difficult part of SMEs is 'Human Resource', and I think it is very difficult to find the proper people in management position. Since we have job interviews for hire the office worker, technical worker, and field worker several times a month, we have to have interviews dozens of times a year. Those who disappear after 1-2 weeks during the job training process, or resign after 1-2 months due to 'seeming unfit for the job' or 'difficulty adapting to the company culture'. It seems that there are more than a few hundred people who have worked for the company since its founding 24 years ago.

In fact, there are over 120 people who have completed the 2nights and 3days

outsourced training education named 'The Seven Habits of highly effective people'. But the number of people who are currently working is less than 10 people, which shows how many people quit the company.


These days, young people tend to romantic expectations when they enter to new job. I think they imagine a company that is kind like a parent, warm like a brother, and easygoing with no friction between colleagues. Those who have no experience in the company, and who have grown up with care in the house, seem to have greater illusions about the workplace. But it is not meaning that the workplace is a inferior environment where you can't expect anything other than the company, and stressful and painful. Depending on your attitude, you will be given plenty of opportunities to enjoy your work, harmonize with colleague relationship, and develop yourself.


Since Korea is a paradise for TV dramas, so when you watch it you tend to transform yourself into main character of the drama. Work in a nice office building and smile with kind supervisor and colleagues. High-end foreign cars, beautiful office girls, doctors, lawyers, and other specialized job will appear in drama as well. However, the reality of our workplace is that it is work at the manufacturing site or warehouse, which is very different from the drama scene.

It's hard to get a job these days, but the appearance of the company we joined is completely different from what we had imagined. The company is not a place to make us happy, interesting, and there is no reason for that.


Medicine that is good for health is bitter to the mouth, and the proverb "Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet" is a very simple law of nature. When we go to work and say myself such as 'I hope my job is very good and interesting. I really like my job. My boss and colleague are kind as my biological brothers.' If then, there is something wrong.

We have to face up to the fact that company work can be hard. What percentage of the jobs we do are interesting and enjoy ourself? I don't want to, but I have a lot more work to do because I have to do, and it's my job, my role, and my mission, so i work late and finish my day's work even if I have difficulties. So we will enjoy the peace of time in the evening after work and wait for Saturday and Sunday weekends.


It is not only their fault that young employees cannot adapt to the company and quit the job easily.

Working in a factory in the countryside and living in a dormitory after work is not inconvenient, and it is necessary to provide a certain level of comfort and stability. They have to go home early in accordance with the purpose of 'Work 52 hours a week', make sure they don't work on holidays unless it's really special, and give a weekday vacation if they work weekends.


When a new employee completes the practical training course, the team manager must give a guide of "My Mission" to clearly understand the work that he or she has to take the initiative in. It is also necessary to provide a work standard that explains how to proceed with the work, and to coach how to communicate with other departments and other teams. They should recognize the company vision through the 'Company Mission'. Team manager should assist the new employee to understand the clauses of 'Department mission' are connected to their work. Also Team manager should make an effort to make LCC's unique corporate culture, such as clean day activity, innovative gymnastics, and publishing company magazine, feel them how it is connected to company vision of becoming an one hundred year company through export.


A man died and went to heaven. He overslept, played golf every day, and in the evening, he enjoyed the delicacies of the mountains and seas, watched his favorite movies, and went on a trip whenever he wanted to. He get a sleep and wake up when he want. There is no supervisor who interfere in his own affairs, and there's no Wife to nag him.

After a few months, He got bored and asked the person in charge of heaven to give him some work, but he replied, "I can grant all the other wishes, but I can never give you a job." Angry, he says, "It's not a difficult request, but why you say that it is difficult?" and asks, "Then I'd rather go to hell where I can work." The person in charge said, "Where do you think we are?" This is hell," he replies.


Work is sacred. There is nothing in the world that you can do for as long as work. No one says, "I was happy to die playing with all my might." Work is important because it gives us pride, contributes to the world through work, and gives us the feeling that it is useful to society. It brings freedom, compensation, recognition, and hope to the people who work, as well as material, psychological, and spiritual satisfaction. Work gives people happiness and keeps them healthy. People who devote themselves to the work they like to do are happy, and those who watch it can feel happy. Those who write report diligently to persuade their superior, those who squeeze ideas to meet customer needs, those who work hard in the lab to develop new products, and those who work hard to find fault factors to meet production are surely happy people. Gorky said "Life is paradise if you enjoy your job, but life is hell if your job is just duty." It suggests a mind-set in the workplace.


There are few people who enjoy working from the beginning. It takes time, effort and money to find a job you like. You will be reborn as a talented person for self-development and capacity improvement with accomplishment and satisfaction in the work after a difficult process. The place where you can find it and supply an environment is the workplace. Therefore, it is no choice but to become 'the company is our hope.'

After 24 years at work, I started my business and manage a company for 24 years. Many people around me are encouraging me to say that I succeeded. It points out the outward growth of the company, which overcame the 1998 IMF crisis and transformed from OEM to ODM, having own brand, record a $20 million export per year.

LCC have a solid financial structure with zero debt firm. Also it run 5 factory in 33,000§³ site. LCC supply the dormitory and housing to employee. This System make LCC developing into a company with a dream and future of $50 million export company that export to Japan and United States.


Now, I'm going to ask myself the question of why I'm successful as a CEO. I can speak the work experience in LG was a major reason which lead me into success. Because I worked in LG for many years and i reproduce what i has learned and experienced in LG.


After graduating from university, I learned production management at LG Soap Plant, accumulated quality control, marketing, and planning. Also the experience of constructed of new plant of LG for six years is very valuable. So that i concluded that these work experience made a succeed today's LCC. If I had chosen a company that could not grow or develop like LG, I would not have had a stable family life and I would not have had the ability and confidence. It was the company (LG) that studied while receiving a salary, learned a foreign language, acquired business skills, and learned about interpersonal relationships and customers.

In conclusion, it can be said that 'LG is my own hope, and learning a lot from LG was the decisive underpinning of LCC's growth and success.'


Although I have been managing for 24 years, I am always thinking that LCC is my hope and reason for my existence while running a company.

It contributes to the national economy by providing jobs to many people, generating profits to pay the taxes such as corporate and local taxes, and transforming into an exporting company with quality and price competitiveness.

Personally, LCC provides a support for maintain happy family. It is meaning that I can make my life more vibrant with passionate management and can face my children and grand children proudly as a working father and grandfather.
