Subject The Dream come true through the writing



In 1972, Dr. Schneider did an interesting 'monkey experiment'. He picked the each king monkey from each monkey group. After that, Some king monkeys were damaged their 'frontal lobe' but the other king monkeys weren't damaged. When these king monkeys came back their group, the damaged king monkey was relegated from their group and dead a few days later. But non-damaged king monkey still lead their group.




This phenomenon could apply to human. The mid-40 age competent CEO love to hike the mountain. He has conquered many famous domestic mountain. Also hiking the famous foreign mountain at least one time per year is his big entertain. A few years ago, He injured during hike the Himalaya. After this injury made his character indecisive and less humorous person. And he was not motivated to work at all. So he was unable to act as the CEO of the company. The hypoxia in the alpine region caused an abnormality in the 'front brain', which turned him into an ordinary person who had lost motivation and initiative.




Our brain divide into the 'front brain' and the 'back brain'. The latter serves to accept and store information through visual, auditory, and tactile sense. The former decides what it is by compiling and reinterpreting the instantaneous incoming and past stored information.

So, if you want to have a successful life, change yourself, change the world and want to have a enrich life materially and spiritually, the key is to develop the 'frontal lobe'. To develop the frontal lobe, it is more essential to focus reading a book than watching TV, having presentation than hearing. But most important thing is writing than speaking.



Write the Diary, Letter, Essay, statement could make the front lobe more vitalize. When you write down your personal mission statement and refine your life goals, your front lobe also becomes active.



 According to statistics data from the LMI(Leadership Management International) which known as famous educational institution in US, 3% people lives a successful life, 10% people lives stable life, 60% people makes a living barely, and the remaining 27% people have a difficult life of the help from others.

The First to Second group have their own life-goal and vision but Third to Fourth group didn't. The academic, intellectual ability is almost same between First and Second group. The Second group(Middle-class) have the vision in their mind. On the other hand, the first group (The upper-class) write their vision on the paper so the vision could be more detail.


Eventually, to achieve a successful life we have to write our detail vision and life goal in paper and make the Personal Mission Statement and __update it everytime.



Jim Carrey, famous by the movie 'batman', had a poverty life so he didn't have a house to living. Therefore he skipped meal frequently when he was unknown actor. With the determination of not to live like this, he went up to a high hill in Hollywood and published his own $10 million check and carried it in his wallet.

Surprisingly, 5years later he received $17million check for the performance fee much more than his own published check. When he became world-famous actor, he get the $20million check per film.






Everybody expect to have a successful life, and hope to realize their dream and vision. How this dream and vision come true? When you write down your wishes and goals on paper, everything happens like a miracle, like a lie. Writing a dream or wish on paper is like sending a 'signal' to a universe like a ritual. This message is send to myself and the world to move forward like a 'green traffic light' and like a 'start sign from a referee'.



 Writing down my dreams and aspirations on a paper is like a initiate the business, and like a proclaim to myself that everything is going well.

Writing the goal can be interpreted in a mental, rational, and scientific aspect. It stimulates part of the brain, the "Phantom Activation System," which helps us realize our hope and vision.

"Phantom Activation System," is the filter system of brain. Sensitive reactions to the things associated with that goal move the brain unconsciously achieving the goal. Record could get rid of the fear, negative thoughts and anxiety. Record the situation against the fear. This lead to make a positive thinking and make a new energy and solution.




In early 1990years, I went the two nights and three days workshop after read the book named "The seven habits of highly effective people". I could say my life was whole changed through this workshop. How should I live and what should I win? what is my dream and life-goal? I kept asking myself and finally I determined not to end up my life as a salaried worker. I resigned my 24 years at work and entered the path of starting my own business with my dream. At the age of 50 when others could retire, and facing the financial crisis of IMF bailout loan, I started a new challenge in my second life. Thinking that life is not 'high' but 'long and long..'




Before preparing my own business, I wrote my personal statement. Until now, I update my personal statement per year and always keep this in my diary and look this when I get disturbed my mind.

I ask myself, what are my values, what I want to achieve, what I want to be. I record on a paper what is the priority, how to run a business, and what contributions I want to make to our society.

In addition, ask myself what is my role as the CEO in the company, as the husband, father, and grandfather in my family.


Further, ask myself how to keep the balance life between home life and work life. Through to ask myself process, I realize how to organize my remaining life.



In my personal statement, I set my goal the Company vision "Through the good quality and price competitive, being a export company and 100-year company". To achieve this, write down the measures and methods for the introduction and settlement of company culture




Expanded sales of Japan's Propolinse mouthwash and Expanded mass export of Mouthwash for Dispenser and Vaseline Lip Care in US Market made our company being a export company. Also, we gained a competitive edge in korea domestic niche market.

I also recognize the importance of physical and mental health to achieve these dreams and wishes. So doing Gukseondo which is martial art every early morning, and playing a Golf on the field regularly, hike the mountain twice per week. Also I recorded my pledge with writing the CEO Column every month. In addition, the pledge about studying Japanese language every day also recorded in my Personal Statement.



I wake up early every in morning and look in the mirror with tapping my frontal lobe. And then, I speak aloud the contents of my personal statement.


10years ago, I felt that we couldn't achieve the company vision with Oriox Brand to being a 100year company. In addition, i felt that it is hard to make a company whose employees are happy and realize their dreams. Therefore I set__ 'the company vision' to being a export company through good quality and price competitive. After that, we've got 100,000, 300,000 and 500,000 dollars through small exports. It leaded to achieve 1million, 3million, 5million dollars in export. In 2019, finally we receive the export trophy from korea export association cause we achieve the $10 million dollars export record.



Recording the 12million dollars in export, is the result of whole of employees effort. Also the company mission statement contributed to align the employee's mind.




In LCC, the company mission statement which contained the Company Vision and detailed administration strategy, is attached at the every office building and production site.

This is not just to show but to resolute ourselves everyday. We always speak aloud this company statement at monthly meeting and various internal meeting.




'The documented corporate constitution' has been made and supplemented since its inception more than 20 years ago in the form of a company's mission statement has made the company's vision come true during the changing business environment through 'alignment' every employee.




In addition, each Department attached mission statement which stated their role, goal, direction of propulsion in the office.

What's really interesting is that these department mission statements are actually happening. In the mission statement of Sales team, the contents of "Targeting the US Market through export the mouthwash for auto-dispenser(2nd Clause)", "Expand the Vaseline Lipcare to the World(3rd Clause)" are really happened.

I believe that it's going to play a crucial role in achieving $20 million dollars and $30 million dollars.

Further "developing new product and Package renewal of Oriox Brand(5th,6th Clause) make me to have a hope to achieve annual $8 million dollars sales record in 'Daiso' someday.




There is another miracle in LCC. The LCC Magazine, which promotes the realization of our vision through the establishment of company culture, has continued to be published on 24pages for 20 years and a half. "Let's celebrate" "export stories," "interview agency and business partner," "corporate culture," "marriage and family stories," etc. It's our precious asset that this stories are 100 percent written by our employees. It's our pride and miracle that no company can make it.


The manuscripts which are written by our employees will be a foundation of long-term and 100-year-old company. Also enhancing the brand image of ORIOX at the Niche Market in Korea, and realizing the dream being a big export company to Japan and the U.S. Above all, it is playing a role in to boost loyalty to the company and to foster having a sense of ownership.





Although I graduated science and engineering so i'm not good at writing. I feel that it is a reckless and difficult challenge to continue the CEO column for more than 20 years. But in order to achieve our dreams and vision, i'm so confident that "writing and communicating in the words" and the message written by CEO is fundamental. It's a difficult process to write the CEO column every month, but when I wrote it, I was glad to think that I was changing and getting a lot of things from this process.
